ABSENCE OF FORM

Story

Portuguese limestone from the Alentejo region contains visible fossil fragments — shells, coral, microorganisms that lived in a warm sea 150 million years ago. Rather than polishing these away, we finished the surface to highlight them. The title refers to our approach: we didn't add form; we removed everything that wasn't the fossil record itself.
