Story
Volcanic basalt from the slopes of Etna is one of the hardest stones we work with. It resists. The fracture line that runs across the top is natural — a cooling fissure from the lava flow that formed this deposit 500,000 years ago. Rather than removing it, we built the entire composition around it. The crack is the sculpture's origin story.
